From Our Table to Yours

Food calls out to be shared. Breaking bread is a universal way of making connections with others.

Jewish Family Recipes combines beloved recipes and cherished stories from esteemed chefs and restaurants with heartwarming dishes from Jewish Family Service LA’s community members, board members, and staff. Explore dishes like Adeena Sussman's Chicken Soup, and Jon & Vinny's Spicy Roasted Cauliflower and many more.

A Gift That Gives

Jewish Family Recipes lifts our Los Angeles community up by raising awareness and funds for the critical work of JFSLA's Food & Hunger Programs.

The recipes and images were all donated by the chefs and community members, and the book was compiled and designed for free by members of the JFSLA Young Leaders Executive Committee. 100% of the proceeds are tax deductible and go directly to JFSLA.

About JFSLA

Jewish Family Service LA (JFSLA) is a non-profit social service agency providing critical, life-improving services to the people of Los Angeles. We provide LA’s aging population with life-changing care, empower and shelter survivors of domestic violence and their children, provide counseling services for those living with mental illness, and offer supportive services to children and families. We welcome individuals and families of all ages and identities to our full continuum of care.

Our Food & Hunger Programs

At Jewish Family Service LA, we are big on food. Our SOVA Community Food & Resource Program provides a healthy variety of fresh and packaged food to over 15,000 Angelenos every year – over 2.5 million pounds of food. Our Senior Nutrition Program provides over 260,000 meals annually, serving over 1,200 frail seniors and people with disabilities.
